Infants and Toddlers
Classes are drop-in, but full registration and orientation meeting are required.
This Class is recommended for babies age 5-18 months and their caregivers. Songs and chants are integrated with lots of colorful props to engage baby's attention and encourage mental and physical development. Interaction with other babies and caregivers makes for a fun social experience as well, and helps neighborhood families make connections.
Toddler Creative Movement
This class is designed for children age 18 months to 3 years to participate in with their caregiver. We teach basic motor skills and foster imagination and creativity through the use of songs, chants, and music from many cultures as well as lots of imagery, stories, and colorful props. We also begin to introduce very beginning ballet positions and movements.
This class will start to explore more gross motor movements that 2 year-olds are capable of - galloping, marching, rolling, etc. as well as starting to work on concepts like patterns and taking turns. We will continue to dance creatively as we expand our skills and introduce beginning ballet positions and movements. Caregivers are still required to participate in this class, though they can start to experiment with giving children a little more independence.
