Current Volunteer Opportunities
Here is a listing of just a few of the things we currently need help with. If you have any skills or ideas not mentioned here, please reach out! We can definitely use any help you have to offer and are open to having input from everyone. In addition to the jobs listed below, we are always looking for help with grant writing, fundraising events, costuming, development, photography, social media, and web design.
We have a lot of costumes stored at Manhattan Mini-Storage on Dyckman. As we get ready for our performance, we need to know exactly what's in there and how many of each thing. We need one to three people to go the unit and create a photo inventory for us. We would like to do this during the week of 3/20-3/24.
Drive a group to Materials for the Arts
Do you have a car and some time during the week? We need to take a trip to Long Island City to visit Materials for the Arts. This is a warehouse of supplies that are free to arts non-profits, and we need to go shopping in order to start our costumes for the spring show!
We send out regular communications and we are adding a weekly blog and newsletter. We need someone to translate this into Spanish.
Administrative Support - Paperwork
We have a lot of paperwork that needs to be filed and documented - if you have a couple hours here and there to donate to getting us caught up on this important task, let us know! It can be done anytime and from anywhere, as long as you are able to pick up the paperwork and return it.
Do you have dance experience? Do you enjoy working with children? We currently need assistants for many of our classes, particularly on Saturdays from 9:30-1:00.
Updating Website Content
We would like to have more information available on our website - can you help us add to our content?
Managing volunteers is a job in itself - coordinating times, sending reminders, and training volunteers in the tasks they've signed up to help with. We are on the search for a special person to take on this position - someone who is outgoing and friendly, extremely organized, and very importantly - bilingual in English and Spanish. This is a critical role - the person who fills it will be instrumental in helping us build a true community. Do you think you may be the right person for the job? Fill out the form below and let us know.
